Chapter 3 The Unexpected
“Mommy, why are you crying?”
After the doctors reviewed the results of Trezoree’s blood work, they approached me. I could tell by the looks on their faces that the results revealed something terrible. The lead doctor walked up to me and began to explain Trezoree’s diagnosis. He said, “After reviewing Trezoree’s blood work,we have diagnosed her with a cancerous form of leukemia.”I immediately felt dazed and physically paralyzed as I listened to him.
I looked across the room into my daughter’s little eyes and began to cry. While she rested there, weak from vomiting, she said, “Mommy, why are you crying? What’s wrong?” I had no idea what to say to her. I slowly walked over to her bed, held her little hand, lowered my head and began to pray.
Chapter 5 God’s Safe Deposit Box
God’s Dream of Assurance
Eleven days after my daughter’s passing I had a dream. In this dream I was being led into a big mansion. While standing in this huge home, I was approached by someone who spoke softly and told me that Trezoree was upstairs and she wanted me to know that she was okay. A feeling of excitement overtook me and I pleaded to see her. I was told to look toward the top of the staircase, and as I turned my head I saw Trezoree slowly walking down the steps holding someone’s hand.
I immediately noticed that her feet that were once covered with sores from the chemotherapy treatments were completely healed. I also noticed that her hand on the railing was free of blisters and burn marks that she also endured with the treatments. She then stopped on the staircase and stood there smiling at me. I ran up the stairs, gently grabbed her beautiful little hands and began kissing and rubbing them and then I held her perfectly healed feet. I marveled that her entire body was free of burns and marks. As Trezoree stood there holding the person’s hand, she continued to smile as she saw how I was overwhelmed with happiness.
